Role Overview

Monitor the disposition of all issued non-conformance reports. Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required. Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customer’s representatives.

Key Highlights

• Ensuring implementation of Quality Management System as per approved Quality Manual and Contract requirement.
• Implementation of Procedures / Work methods through orientation / mockups.
• Conducting QMS Training Program & Induction for Staff to create awareness on Project Quality requirements.
• Organize/ conduct Induction to workmen during screening at site. Conduct regular Pep-talk on Quality to workmen engaged at Site.
• Maintain in-house testing facility at site and ensuring fitness of equipments for accuracy & purpose.
• Conducting stage-wise quality inspection & tests as per ITP for construction materials and activities.
• Organizing material tests at Third Party Lab. Organizing Quality Audits at site.
• Conducting vendor inspection for approval and for dispatch of outsourced items.
Liaise with Customer for Quality related matters.
• Issue Observation & NCR for deviation of work/ process observed through regular site walk-down. Monitor ageing & control of Non-conformance and timely disposal of NC.
• Implementing effective corrective action for Customer Complaints & NCR for continuous improvement
• Organize and Conduct periodic Management Review Meeting to discuss performance of QMS. Organize & conduct Quality Motivational Program for Staff, Supervisors & Workmen.
• Identify & implement best practices and measure improvements.
• Implement QMS at Site as per approved Quality Plan. Identify and develop ITP, work procedure and all quality record / report and formats. Must have Experience in Temperature Control Concrete.
• Interact with Client for quality related issues. Prepare Method statement for QA/QC activities. Must have experience of various Testing of fresh and hardened concrete properties and rebound hammer test of retaining wall
• Very Good Knowledge of ISO Procedures of IMS Systems. Over all responsible for Quality Control and Assurance at site. Very Good Knowledge of Rock Bolting, Shot Crete, Pull out testing. Knowledge of Concrete Mixes for Construction and their Applications.
• Must have experience of various testing procedures, designs of various mixes like Concrete Mixes, etc. Should be familiar with quality control procedures laid down in relevant specifications. Knowledge of Concrete, Batching Charging and Mixing Process
• Incoming materials for the projects checked; Concrete Mix Design made; Concrete production quality control, etc.
• Coordinating the material procurement department for procurement of quality material. Allocate qualified Quality Control personnel to the various areas of site activity. Preparation and Finalize the Project Quality Plan, Work Method statements, Inspection & test planes per Contract & Specification.
• Relevant Codes, Establish and Implement the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and test Plan, Method statement at project Site, Development and Implementation of Standard Operating Procedure at project Site.
• Ensure to establish Quality Control Laboratory and equip it with consumable with latest calibration and validation of measuring equipment. Establish Concrete Mix design for project site in an optimum and timely manner. Establish and Implement Good Practice at project site.
• Establish and implement Trade demo before any activities for staff and workers, Conduct routine site walk with Project Team and action to eliminate the defects and implementation of corrective and preventive measures at project site.
• Direct Interaction with Client and project team to minimum response time on any Quality issues and complaints from Project site.
• Effective implementation of Companies Integrated Management System at project site, Establish In process Inspection and correct the defects during activities to minimize the defects and rework by strengthen supervision process to First time right approach, Tracking the closer of any defects, NC, root cause analysis observations, opportunities for continual improvement and resolve at minimum cost and time, Development of E-Learning and Pictorial Training Materials.
• Participate in project review meetings onsite for tracking project progress. Adopt and implement advanced structural techniques. Prepare quality management documents, quality control procedures, quality manual, checklists etc.
• Maintain relevant audit documents & records for future reference. Prepare quarterly reports for quality with respect to internal and external ISO norms. Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the management from time to time. Prepare MIS report on quarterly basis.
• Sound knowledge of Quality standards and measures, knowledge of MRP/Production In-depth Knowledge of QA/QC & its Planning , Setting up of the laboratory a per IS codes specifications. Knowledge of Testing of Sand, Concrete, Slabs, Steel, Cements etc for all relevant parameters.
Good interpersonal skills, Project management.
• Develop, implement and improvement of the quality, health, safety and environmental systems in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Its process & procedures to support the business operations should be carried out as per Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Qualification

B.E. (Civil) or Diploma in Civil

Experience

Minimum 2 Years of experience in High Rise Building Constructions
